A project working with the children’s charity Ride High
The charity got in touch with Sarah to ask her to work with them on creating a mosaic for their garden to work directly with their young members. Sarah embarked on designing a mural and a collection of other mosaics including, bunting, a mosaic hedgehog, ladybird and bee made on rocks and a hanging slate bee and butterfly as well as a mosaic games table top. A large mosaic welcome plaque was also created. Sarah worked with different groups at Ride High to create the collection of work. The project was made possible from a bequest from Jim Donaldson through the Milton Keynes Rotary Club.
In celebration of the mosaics that were made with members of Ride High a 6 week exhibition was hosted at Milton Keynes Central Library where it was on public display. A unveiling evening was held and all those that participated with the project joined Sarah for the event. The Mayor and Mayoress of Milton Keynes were in attendance at the event.
