ARTIST STATEMENT

As a community mosaic artist, my practice is rooted in the belief that creativity is a universal language - one that connects people across backgrounds, ages, and abilities. I use mosaic as both a visual art form and a collaborative tool, bringing together individual and communities to create something meaningful, lasting and shared.

My work focuses primarily on working with children in primary schools, where I guild young artists through the joyful, hands -on process of mosaic making. Through these projects students not only explore colour, pattern and design, but also a sense of ownership, pride and teamwork. I see mosaic as than just a decoration - it’s a celebration of collective effort and a powerful reminder that small pieces can come together to form something beautiful that can have long lasting and meaningful impact.

In additional to community projects, I design and sell accessible mosaic kits and lead craft workshops for schools, families, and creative spaces. Whether its a child completing their first mosaic coaster or a community unveiling a large-scale mural, my goal is always the same: to inspire confidence, creativity, and connection though the timeless art of mosaic.
