In 2018 Sarah was invited to become Artist in Residence at Portfields Primary School in Newport Pagnell. The headteacher, Sarah Folkard wanted to create a vibrant and welcoming mosaic that could be made with all the children in attendance at the school. Sarah Harper created a design that allowed children to have their own creative input. Working with 27 classes over 8 weeks the mosaic was made.

Sarah was an artist in residence over 8 weeks. iN this time she worked with every single child and staff member to create our Portfields Mosaic. Staring in my headship role I wanted the whole school to be part of a project that could displayed proudly outside the school. Sarah was kind, inspirational and patient - the children absolutely loved making the mosaic
