Loughton Library Mosaic

Sarah worked with all of the children in year 4 at Loughton School in 2019, whilst they were learning about the Romans. The Headteacher, Rebecca Green wanted the students to learn creativity about how the Romans made mosaics. Working together a creative and vibrant entrance sign was made for the library. Sarah worked with 4 classes over 8 days, creating this woodland themed moral. The children all has a section to work on themselves as the mosaic evolved aspects of the design were discussed with the children.

We used Sarah at Honey mosaics to create a beautiful mosaic for the entrance of our library. The children in year 4 learn about the Romans and as part of this they look at mosaics. We felt this would bring the learning to life and it certainly did. All the children in year 4 got to work on the mosaic with Sarah. Each child can tell you the section they worked on and they are all so proud the part they did and of the end product. The mosaic brightens up our entrance hall and we love it.
